Kinteract were already making waves in digital education when they approached us with the task of modernising their brand and platform to align with the true nature of the company and its audience.

Gaining insights and developing a strategy

The Kinteract team came to us for the day to really get into the details of what they were trying to accomplish and also understand in detail how we could work together.

We were so aligned on how education fails to understand a child's development as they transition from primary to secondary school and onwards.

A collaborative project from start to finish

We started to talk about our partnerships and how we work as part of a team, which aligned with their vision of bringing parent, child and teacher closer through the app.

We needed to create an environment and brand which resonated with each user type with the aim of being approachable, simple and encouraging.

Document, document and document as much understanding as possible

We documented extensively gathering all the information from Kinteract, but not digesting anything for us which would help us gain context to past and future decisions. From there we begin to research the pain-points for many teachers and parents when it comes to education for their children.

We wanted to communicate the honesty of Kinteract when it came to their mission and vision - it's about making a real difference, conveying confidence, relatability and transparency.

While we worked on brand discovery, we looked at developing some heuristics for their existing system to highlight pain-points and work towards flows which would be simple, be it the child, teacher or parent using the platform.

Our philosophy was to always surface over navigation.

Our story tells of Kinteract's mission to “Bring people together to transform the way the world thinks about learning development” by building platforms which provide focused & actionable insights.
The meaning of connections within Kinteract

We wanted to represent the key people that make Kinteract who it is. The Parents, Teachers and Students. They collaborate together for a better future. In the brand, these three parts would form the components of the initial K which also gave clarity to the brand.

Illustrations which would be approachable, simple and recognisable

We leveraged off our understanding of the company from the branding process and used this in the design of the Kinteract Platform.

Providing support on presentations, merchandise and other marketing materials.

Once we had outlined the execution of all the brand assets, we started to support their narratives for their presentation decks and other docs.

The team would be travelling to Dubai to secure funding and pitch Kinteract to schools and other institutions. We wanted to make sure they had all the tools they would need.

Once we had defined the brand, we started to look at the native Kinteract app working through the flows for each user type whilst looking at creating a UI framework.

When looking at the UI, we knew that it was a necessity for the interface to be simple and clear with children needing to interacting with the Kinteract app.

Bright and friendly interface elements were created to appeal to children and the influence of social media structure would create a recognisable flow.

We worked collaboratively building an exciting new user experience and interface step by step. All of this was encompassed with a new platform and a brand that would engage and communicate effectively throughout the entire educational journey of a student.
